The Journal of Aerospace Sciences and Technologies is a quarterly International Journal published by the Aeronautical Society of India from Bangalore, India. Quarterly releases of the journal are in the month of February, May, August & November.

The First Issue of the Journal “The Aeronautical Society of India” Published in the year 1948 by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, First Prime Minister of India, is the First Chief Patron of the Society.

In 2003 as per the desire and direction envisioned by then President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, besides regular publication, the Journal has to be re-registered as International Quarterly Journal “Journal of Aerospace Sciences and Technologies” with publishing papers as Review Papers, Invited Papers, Full Length Papers, Technical Note and Book Review, the Journal also started publishing Special Issues with Selected papers from International Conferences or on focused Special successful path breaking technologies pursuits in Aerospace Projects / Systems.

Later In 2023 Dr. Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri, President of the Society converted the Print Journal to Online Journal, This Platform. Papers published from back year 2003, Volume 55 have digitized and available as archives to benefit aerospace and aeronautics fraternity.

Aims and Scope of Journal

Aims and Scope of the Journal of Aerospace Sciences and Technologies are intended to reflect the objective of the Aeronautical Society of India. The objective of the Society is to promote the advancement and dissemination of the knowledge of aeronautical sciences and aircraft engineering, aerospace sciences and technologies as well as elevation of the aeronautical and aerospace profession. Contributions to the Journal can be in the form of Invited Paper, Full Length Paper, Technical Note, Review Paper, Student Paper, Product Review and Book Review. Keeping this in view, the Journal solicits contributions from Scientists, Academicians, Technologists, Practicing Professionals and others who are directly or indirectly involved in the promotion of the objectives of Aerospace Sciences and Technologies. The topics could be, among other things, Aerodynamics, Airworthiness, Avionics and Systems, Structures, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Materials, Propulsion, Space and Launch Vehicle, Flight Simulation, Guided Flight, Powered Flight, Un manned Aerial Vehicle, Management Studies related to Aerospace, Systems Engineering, Flight Tests, Flight Operation and Maintenance, Flight Control, Rotor Craft, Test and Evaluation Procedures, Ground Handling Process Equipments Certification, Policy Matters.
